Sembria

Tribebria

Broadleaf weed control in cereals at one gram per decare.

Tribenuron-methyl 75% w/w
Tribebria — WG - Water Dispersible Granule — Sembria

Tribebria is a sulfonylurea herbicide for broadleaf weeds in wheat and barley. The rate is the headline: one to one-and-a-half grams per decare controls more than twenty broadleaf species, from wild mustard and poppy to Canada thistle. It is also unusually flexible on timing — the label runs from the 2-leaf stage right through to the ear stage — so it fits around whatever else the spray programme demands.

Characteristics

  • Extremely low use rate: 1-1.5 g/da
  • Very wide application window — 2-leaf stage through to ear stage of the cereal
  • Controls over twenty broadleaf species including wild mustard, poppy and Canada thistle
  • Water-dispersible granule — low dust, accurate measuring
  • Full crop safety on wheat and barley at label rates
  • HRAC Group B/2 — rotation partner for the Group A/1 grass herbicides in the range

How it works

Tribenuron-methyl inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), the enzyme plants need to make the branched-chain amino acids valine, leucine and isoleucine. Susceptible weeds stop growing within hours, then yellow and die over one to three weeks. Cereals metabolise the molecule rapidly, which is the basis of the selectivity. HRAC Group B / Group 2.

Doses are indicative. The user is responsible for adjusting the dose to the growth stage of the crop and the conditions of the field. Apply under the guidance of an agricultural technician. Composition, method of application and dose may vary between countries for climatic, technical or legal reasons.

Application

How to apply

Can be used safely from the 2-leaf stage to the ear stage of cereals, inclusive. Time the application to the weeds rather than the crop: results are best when weeds have at least two leaves, and before they exceed 15 cm or grow up through the cereal canopy. Where Centaurea (Gokbas) dominates, apply at the rosette stage when it has 7-8 leaves and is 8-9 cm tall. Use 20-40 litres of water per hectare with fan nozzles. Rotate with herbicides of a different mode of action — continuous use of ALS inhibitors in the same fields selects for resistant weed populations.

Compatibility

Not recommended for mixing with other plant protection products. Use clean water. Do not use zinc or galvanised containers.

Always carry out a compatibility test before preparing a tank mixture.

Safety and handling

May cause an allergic skin reaction; causes serious eye damage. Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Toxic to fish and to bees — do not apply during flowering, do not contaminate surface waters. Prevent the product from entering drinking or irrigation water. Do not re-enter the treated area for 1 day.

Read the label before use. Do not use at home. Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Use only as recommended and at the recommended dose.
