Emabria

Caterpillar control at very low rates, with translaminar reach.

Emamectin benzoate 5% SG
Emabria — SG - Soluble Granule — Sembria

Emabria is an insecticide based on emamectin benzoate, a semi-synthetic avermectin. It is exceptionally potent against caterpillars at rates measured in tens of grams per hectare, and it moves into the leaf tissue so it reaches larvae feeding in protected sites. The label spans the main Lepidoptera of vegetables, vine, olive and pomegranate, with short pre-harvest intervals on greenhouse crops.

Characteristics

  • Very high potency against Lepidoptera at low rates
  • Translaminar movement reaches larvae in protected feeding sites
  • Covers cotton leafworm, Helicoverpa, grapevine moth, olive moth and carob moth
  • Seven-day pre-harvest interval on most vegetable uses
  • Soluble granule — low dust, accurate measuring
  • IRAC Group 6

How it works

Emamectin benzoate activates glutamate-gated chloride channels in the insect nervous system, causing irreversible paralysis. Larvae stop feeding within hours and die over two to four days. IRAC Group 6 — the same group as abamectin, so the two do not rotate against each other.
