Tebria
Seed dressing against the smuts and bunts that ruin a cereal crop invisibly.
Tebria is a cereal seed dressing based on tebuconazole at 2%. Smut and bunt are seed-borne diseases that give no warning: the crop looks normal until the ear emerges full of black spores, and by then nothing can be done. A seed dressing is the only control, it costs very little per hectare, and it is the single most reliable return on investment in cereal production.

How it works
Tebuconazole inhibits C14-demethylase and blocks ergosterol synthesis in the fungus. Applied to the seed it is taken up by the germinating seedling and kills the seed-borne mycelium before it can grow up inside the plant and reach the developing ear. FRAC Group 3.
