Lambdabria
Fast pyrethroid knockdown with strong residual on the leaf surface.

Lambdabria is a pyrethroid insecticide based on lambda-cyhalothrin. It combines the immediate knockdown the class is known for with unusually good residual persistence, because the molecule binds tightly to the waxy leaf surface rather than washing or volatilising away. It works by contact and ingestion and also repels, which reduces feeding damage before mortality is complete.
Characteristics
- Immediate knockdown by contact and ingestion
- Strong residual persistence on the leaf surface
- Repellent effect reduces feeding damage early
- Effective at very low rates across a broad pest range
- IRAC Group 3A — rotation partner for Groups 1B, 4A and 28
- Performs best applied in the cooler hours of the day
How it works
Lambda-cyhalothrin holds open the voltage-gated sodium channels of the insect nerve axon, causing repetitive uncontrolled firing, then paralysis and death. Like all pyrethroids it is more active at lower temperatures, so early-morning and evening applications outperform midday ones. IRAC Group 3A.
