Imidabria 48

Systemic whitefly control delivered through the drip line.

Imidacloprid 350 g/l
Imidabria 48 — SC - Suspension Concentrate — Sembria

Imidabria 48 is a systemic insecticide based on imidacloprid at 350 g/l, formulated as a suspension concentrate and registered for application through the drip system. Delivered to the root, it is taken up and distributed through the whole plant, so nymphs and adults feeding anywhere on the crop receive a lethal dose — with no spray drift, no coverage problem in a dense greenhouse canopy, and no wetting of the fruit.

Characteristics

  • Applied through drip irrigation — no spraying, no drift, no coverage issues
  • Fully systemic protection of the whole plant, including new growth
  • Controls both nymph and adult stages of tobacco whitefly
  • Low rate: 100 ml/ha through the drip
  • Seven-day pre-harvest interval
  • IRAC Group 4A

How it works

Imidacloprid binds the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor of the insect central nervous system and holds it open. Nerve transmission becomes uncontrolled, the insect stops feeding and dies. Selectivity toward mammals is high because the vertebrate receptor differs structurally. IRAC Group 4A.

Composition, method of application and dose may vary between countries for climatic, technical or legal reasons.

Application

How to apply

Scouting: enter the infested area along the diagonals, collect 50 leaves from the lower, middle and upper canopy every five steps, and apply chemical control at 5 larvae plus pupae per leaf. Shake the product well before use. Apply through the drip system at 100 ml/ha.

Compatibility

Should not be mixed with highly alkaline substances.

Always carry out a compatibility test before preparing a tank mixture.

Safety and handling

Harmful if swallowed. Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Harmful to fish — avoid contamination of surface and groundwater. HIGHLY TOXIC TO BEES — do not apply during flowering, and do not use in greenhouses where Bombus bees are used for pollination. Do not re-enter the treated area for 7 days. Wear gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. No known antidote — treat symptomatically.

Read the label before use. Do not use at home. Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Use only as recommended and at the recommended dose.
