Imidabria 70
Protection built into the seed, before the pest ever reaches the crop.

Imidabria 70 is a flowable seed-treatment concentrate based on imidacloprid at 600 g/l. Applied to the seed rather than the field, it protects the crop from the moment of germination through the vulnerable early weeks, against the soil pests that do their damage before a foliar spray would ever be justified: wireworms, millipedes, springtails and soil flea beetles. On potato it also carries early control of Colorado potato beetle.
Characteristics
- Protection from germination — no early-season spray pass required
- Controls soil pests that cannot be reached once the crop is established
- Very small quantity of active per hectare compared with broadcast treatment
- Registered on sugar beet, corn and seed potato
- Systemic uptake into the seedling as it emerges
- IRAC Group 4A
How it works
Imidacloprid coats the seed and is taken up by the emerging seedling, distributing systemically through root and shoot. Pests feeding on the treated seedling receive a lethal dose. The active binds the insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptor and holds it open, causing uncontrolled nerve firing. IRAC Group 4A.
Dosing
| Crop | Target pest | Dose | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sugar beet | Wireworms (Agriotes spp.), millipedes (Diplopoda), springtails (Collembola), soil flea beetles (Chaetocnema spp.) | 1.5 L / 100 kg seed | Use professional seed treatment equipment |
| Corn | Wireworms (Agriotes spp.) | 600 ml / 100 kg seed | Mix with 1 L water per 100 kg seed |
| Potato | Wireworms (Agriotes spp.), larvae | 35 ml / 100 kg seed potatoes | Mix with 1-1.5 L water per 100 kg |
| Potato | Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) | 12.5 ml / 100 kg seed potatoes | Mix with 1-1.5 L water per 100 kg |
Doses are indicative. The user is responsible for adjusting the dose to the growth stage of the crop and the conditions of the field. Apply under the guidance of an agricultural technician. Composition, method of application and dose may vary between countries for climatic, technical or legal reasons.
Application
How to apply
Sugar beet: apply in a professional seed-treatment facility; mixture volume depends on the equipment, the other components and drying capacity — follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions, as beet seed is moisture sensitive. Corn: mix the dose with 1 L water per 100 kg seed, apply half to the seed spread on a plastic sheet, mix thoroughly, add the remainder and mix again; ventilate and sow once surface moisture has gone. Potato: spread seed potatoes on a firm, flat surface, spray half the mixture, turn with a shovel, then spray the remainder. Wear rubber gloves throughout. Recalibrate the seeder with treated seed before sowing.
Compatibility
Conduct preliminary mixing compatibility tests before making large-scale mixtures.
Always carry out a compatibility test before preparing a tank mixture.
Safety and handling
Harmful if swallowed. Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. DO NOT use treated seed as food or animal feed. HIGHLY TOXIC TO BEES — do not treat seed in very dry or windy conditions, as abraded dust can drift onto pollinators. Do not use in greenhouses where Bombus bees are used. Wear gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. No known antidote — treat symptomatically.
Read the label before use. Do not use at home. Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Use only as recommended and at the recommended dose.
