MicroN Sodium Molybdate 39%
The micronutrient that lets the plant use the nitrogen you already applied.

MicroN Sodium Molybdate 39% is a fully water-soluble molybdenum source. Molybdenum is needed in the smallest quantity of any nutrient, and it is the one that decides whether the rest of your nitrogen programme works: without it the enzyme nitrate reductase cannot convert nitrate into usable amino acids, and nitrate simply accumulates in the leaf. In legumes it is equally decisive, because nitrogenase in the root nodule also depends on it.
Characteristics
- 39% sodium molybdate, 100% water soluble
- Enables nitrate reductase — the plant converts applied nitrate instead of storing it
- Essential for nodulation and nitrogen fixation in legumes
- Corrects whiptail in cauliflower and broccoli, and pale mottling in legumes
- Effective at very low rates; particularly valuable on acidic soils where molybdenum is locked up
- Suitable for foliar application and fertigation
How it works
Molybdenum is the cofactor of nitrate reductase and of nitrogenase. Availability falls sharply as soil pH drops, so deficiency is a classic acidic-soil problem and is often corrected by liming as well as by direct application. Requirements are tiny — grams rather than kilograms per hectare — and excess should be avoided.
Dosing
| Crop group | Typical use | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Legumes (soybean, bean, pea, chickpea, lentil, alfalfa) | Seed treatment or early foliar | RATE TO BE CONFIRMED |
| Brassicas (cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage) | Foliar at transplant and early growth | RATE TO BE CONFIRMED |
| Vegetables and field crops on acidic soils | Foliar, corrective | RATE TO BE CONFIRMED |
Doses are indicative. The user is responsible for adjusting the dose to the growth stage of the crop and the conditions of the field. Apply under the guidance of an agricultural technician. Composition, method of application and dose may vary between countries for climatic, technical or legal reasons.
Application
How to apply
Foliar application and fertigation. Molybdenum is required at very low rates — never exceed the agronomist-approved rate.
Compatibility
Compatible with most fertilisers. Do not mix with strongly acidic solutions.
Always carry out a compatibility test before preparing a tank mixture.
Safety and handling
Not classified as hazardous under normal handling. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid dust inhalation.
Read the label before use. Do not use at home. Keep away from children, food and animal feed. Use only as recommended and at the recommended dose.
